CHANGE: It starts with me!

May 10 of the present year 2010 is the election period here in the Philippines. And, the Filipino people in legal ages have the chance to select and to decide who will govern and lead the Filipino people. This election serves as an opportunity for the public to make the right choice about the policies, programs, and future directions that these candidates will be implementing. The voters must choose the candidate who is honest, has perception in morality and the ability to lead.

We, the students are not yet permitted to vote for the candidate that we want but, we can still do something just to make a better nation. In fact, we can give suggestions to our parents whom we think deserves for those delicate positions. But in just following simple policies, regulations of our school are a big help. We must be able of assuming the responsibilities determining the roles in our school and in the society. Although we’re just students, we can have as much to say about societal problems and its possible potential remedies. Taking this apt account of our concerns and suggestions can or will be beneficial to all. We can also join in many project and seminars of the government in preserving Mother Earth. In school, another simple thing we can do is by not littering. Instead of littering plastic wrappers, why not put it inside our pockets and throw them in the trash cans if ever.

In these small little things, at least we have contributed in preserving Mother Earth and saving our country.
